When I created Veggie y Qué, my goal was to help other People of Color see that they can go Vegan. I struggled so many years thinking I couldn’t go Vegan. I was not raised that way, I had no one to relate to. A girl raised in the Barrio, eating tacos from a food stand. I couldn’t relate to the Vegan world. But, I knew it was right it was the way. When I finally did make the change two years ago, I figured maybe there were more people who are scared to make this change. That’s when Veggie y Qué began. My vision was to help you relate to this life. I’ve given countless of recipes to you, you’ve encouraged me to branch out and do Pop Ups. My passion remained the same, to bring you relevance to the word Vegan. If I got one Like or two People at a Pop Up, to me it was a Success. That meant one person may try my recipe, that two people experienced vegan food. My heart has never waiver from the day Veggie y Qué was created. I’m not steering this journey, I only keep true to my goal. Now this journey has landed me in this place, with keys in my hand, to my own location. This was not something I was working on, instead it came to me as an opportunity. Literally, my phone rang and here I am. So I truly believe this is for all of You, not me. I’m just here to bring Veganism to your attention. 🌱 This is not my end goal, I’m not done, I still have a lot to do for Veganism 🙏🏼
